Biography
Professor Rozell
is the author of nine books and editor of sixteen books on various aspects
of American government,
including the presidency, religion
and politics, media and politics, and interest groups in elections. His
latest written and co-written
books are Interest Groups in American
Campaigns (Congressional Quarterly Press, 2005, 2d edition), Power and
Prudence: The Presidency of George
H.W. Bush (Texas A&M University Press, 2004) and Executive Privilege:
Presidential Power, Secrecy, and Accountability (University Press
of Kansas, 2002, 2d edition). Among his latest edited volumes are
Considering the Bush Presidency (Oxford University Press, 2004),
The Christian Right in American Politics (Georgetown University Press,
2003), and Media Power, Media Politics (Rowman & Littlefield,
2002).
He has testified before Congress
on several occasions on executive
privilege issues and has lectured
extensively in the U.S. and abroad.
He serves as coeditor of the Georgetown
University Press series on religion
and politics. His current research
projects are on religion and the
U.S. presidency, the religious factor
in the 2004 elections, and the evolution
of interest group strategies in U.S.
campaigns.
