School of Public Policy Certificates
In conjunction with our master’s degrees, the School of Public
Policy also offers certificate programs in which a student can gain
specialized knowledge in a number of different areas. Whether you pursue
a certificate in addition to a master’s degree or are simply
looking to enhance your professional experience, SPP’s certificates
will allow you to remain competitive
in an increasingly complex global economy.
SPP offers certificates in 15 different areas of study:
Participation in a certificate program
requires submission of a complete application
to the School of Public Policy. Applicants
are required to follow the same Admissions
Procedures as
students applying to one of our master’s degrees. Students
applying for a certificate program should
already have a bachelor’s
degree.
All certificates require the completion
of five courses. Students already pursuing
a master’s degree in the School
of Public Policy may take an additional
three courses and also
receive a certificate. Each certificate
requires one core course and
four additional courses which can be
chosen from an approved list. Certificates
identified with an asterisk require that
one of the four elective courses has
an international focus. (Courses that
are considered international in nature
are followed by "Int’l.")
