NOTE:

Figures for operational strength and fatalities include military and civilian police personnel. Operational strength varies slightly from month to month due to rotation. Costs to the United Nations of 15 of 17 current United Nations peace-keeping operations are financed from their own separate accounts on the basis of legally binding assessments on all Member States. UNTSO and UNMOGIP are funded from the United Nations regular budget. Since the mandates of most operations are renewed periodically starting from different dates, annual cost estimates for comparative purposes are approximate. The figures for operational strength and fatalities include military and civilian police personnel. Operational strength varies slightly from month to month due to rotation.

FIGURES VALID 31 DECEMBER 1994.
