On EIP: A caterpillar forms a cocoon as a safe place for transforming into a butterfly. As an eighth grader, I was a caterpillar trying to blend with the surrounding foliage (my peers). Being accepted to EIP was a defining moment in my life. EIP was my cocoon, my safe place to be nurtured, empowered, and encouraged.
