University Events
OEM plans and coordinates a variety of special events sponsored by the President's Office and other departments at Mason. Events that involve the George Mason community are "University Events". While these events can be quite complex logistically, they are great fun to work on and very rewarding. Strengthening the GMU community is the most important work we do. Our biggest event of the year is the Commencement Celebration in May. Other events have included the Groundbreaking Ceremony and Celebration for the Prince William Campus, the Opening and Celebration for the Aquatic Center, the Martin Luther King Day Celebration, the Opening and Dedication of the Johnson Center, the Presidential Inaugural Celebration, Admission Open Houses and Preview Events, the End of Campaign Celebration and the Hazel Building Dedication.
