Student Voluntary Plans

Academic Year Fall 2009/Spring 2010

Students living off campus and students living on campus not required to participate in the resident meal plan program can take advantage of tremendous savings using the Voluntary Meal Plan! The greatest savings is in Southside; one meal swipe to get in the door to enjoy exhibition style cooking! Southside is the newest student dining facility.

Dining venues in the Johnson Center, Student Union I, and Ike's Diner work on an equivalency basis: during breakfast hours one meal swipe is equivalent to $4.75; during lunch and dinner the rate is $6.00. Different venues list equiv a meals (which may include entree, side, and drink) that total to the equivalency rate.

Remaining voluntary meals carry over from the fall to the spring semester. All meals must be consumed by the end of the spring semester.

The Mason ID is used to access voluntary meals and can be printed once the student has registered for classes.

 

Purchase & Payment

Voluntary plans may be purchased by visiting the Mason Money/Meal Plan office located on the lower level of Student Union II. Cash, check, Visa, and MasterCard are accepted.

Voluntary plans may also be purchased using Mason Money. Email the request to the All University Card office (allucard@gmu.edu). Please use your gmu.edu account and specify the voluntary meal plan. Allow one business day for purchases.
