The CDC Director, Tina Morris, believes communication is the key to a successful experience for your child(ren), you as the parent or as a visitor to the Center.

Tina can be reached by email or by phone at 703-993-9750. While Tina's duties are many and varied and she is in the classrooms or in meetings at times during the day, she will return your call and email as soon as possible.

Likewise, if you would like to speak or send an email to your child's(ren's) teacher they will also respond as their classroom schedule allows. Contact information for the teachers are:

Teddy Bear Classroom
"Miss Dorothea" a native of Romania, began her career in early childhood development at the Fort Hood, TX, Child Development Center in 1998. It was there that she received an Associates Degree in Child Development, and a two year specialized training with infants and toddlers. Currently attending Mason for a BA in Psychology, she also is a member of the NAEYC, the National Association for the Education of the Young Child. "Miss Dorothea" has been working at the CDC since 2001 and was the Assistant Teacher for the Teddy Bears and Polar Bears Classrooms prior to being named Lead Teacher. Additionally, Miss Dorothea is the CDC's Garden Operations Manager overseeing the CDC's gardening learning program. Miss Dorothea enjoys working with young children and looks forward to meeting future Mason families and keeping in touch with the CDC graduates. In her spare time, Miss Dorothea is the mother of two children and enjoys learning other languages and cultures, loves sports, and reading. Dorothea Tyree

Polar Bears Classroom
Jen Arnowitz is the Lead Teacher for the Polar Bears. With a BA in Integrative Studies with a concentration in Elementary Education, Jen is working towards her Master's degree in Elementary education. Jen started at the CDC in 2004 and moved up from a wage employee to the Assistant Teacher position and has worked in every classroom at the CDC. With the Polar Bears since 2008, every day is a new adventure with new experiences and tons of learning fun. Jen looks forward to the bright smiles and big bear hugs each and every morning. IN her spare time Jen enjoys photography and traveling.

Penguins Classroom
Janina Admana joined the George Mason University CDC as Lead Teacher for the Penguins in February 2011. Ms. Janina graduated from George Mason University in 2007 with a B.S. in Psychology, and a minor in Creative Writing. She has worked with preschoolers in a variety of settings, including a summer camp, and Head Start. She enjoys getting to meet children and families from different cultural backgrounds. In her spare time, Ms. Janina enjoys gardening, photography, and spending time with her family and friends. Janina Admana

Jennifer kin My name is Jennifer Kin.  I am originally from New Jersey.  I graduated from Caldwell College in 2005 with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education.  I have over 10 years of experience working with children between the ages of one and nine.  I have two years of experience as a preschool lead teacher. In my free time, I enjoy shopping, baking, reading, spending time with my fiancé, and going to the movies.
