A strong belief in staying up-to-date with the latest learning techniques, programs, and maintaining staff state certification requirements led the CDC to develop it's Professional Development and Workshops Programs.
Professional Development Day is a yearly one-day conference that offers sessions for area day care and child development companies to complete their state training requirements. The conference is always on a Saturday from 8:30 - 4:00 and provides one place for day care providers to receive the training they require.
Workshops are held three times a year during spring, from 7:30PM - 9:00PM. These short workshops allow day care providers to finish their yearly training requirements when they are unable to attend the all day professional development conference.
Anchalee Burbach manages workshops and profressional development day. Anchalee has been with the CDC since 2003 and has become an expert on devising new training sessions that are innovative, topical, and focuses on the latest teaching methods and trends for child development.
