A strong belief in staying up-to-date with the latest learning techniques, programs, and maintaining staff state certification requirements led the CDC to develop it's Professional Development and Workshops Programs.

Professional Development Day is a yearly one-day conference that offers sessions for area day care and child development companies to complete their state training requirements. The conference is always on a Saturday from 8:30 - 4:00 and provides one place for day care providers to receive the training they require.

Workshops are held three times a year during spring, from 7:30PM - 9:00PM. These short workshops allow day care providers to finish their yearly training requirements when they are unable to attend the all day professional development conference. Anchalee Burbach
