The Universidad del Desarrollo (UDD) was founded in 1990 and has since been recognized as one of the top three private universities in Chile. It has two exciting campuses in separate cities, one in Santiago and the other in Concepción. The university offers renowned professors with academic prestige and vast professional experience. Classes emphasizes close contact with professional, economic, and cultural communities outside of the university.
You can take courses in many areas of study at either campus of UDD. A student enrolled at UDD may transfer up to 15 credits per semester back to Mason, provided the letter grade is a "C" or above. The courses are transfer credit, and therefore will not factor into the GPA of the participant.
UDD will help you find accommodations for the duration of your stay. One option consists of renting a room (single or double) with or without a meal plan. Prices vary from $160 to $370 per month in Santiago, and from $125 to $310 per month in Concepción (these prices are subject to change as the value of the dollar fluctuates).
Another alternative is to live with a host family. If you would like more information regarding your housing options please contact UDD directly and follow this web page.
This program is open to Mason students ONLY. Students must be at least a second semester sophomore at the time of departure and have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
