DESCRIPTION

"...and there emerged Florence, a magic city where people thought and did the most extraordinary things..." ~ A room with a view, E.M. Forster

Spend a Semester in magnificent Florence, one of the glorious Centers of Art and Culture.
It was during the Middle Ages and Renaissance Era that Florence became the cultural hub of Europe, where artists (Leonardo, Michelangelo), architects (Brunelleschi), writers (Dante) and scholars did things rarely equaled. The evidence of these achievements is still present all over Florence in its palaces, squares, churches, monuments and museums. Today, Florence is an active commercial center for business, banking, fashion and the production of leather goods. The innumerable artistic treasures and natural beauty of the Tuscan countryside attract many students from all over the world to come to Florence as their place for an unforgettable study abroad experience. This unique city is yours to absorb, explore, taste, marvel and enjoy!

Participants will study at the Centro Fiorenza - IH FLORENCE , founded in 1982, has its premises right in the center of the historic city, in a prestigious seventeenth century palace, Palazzo Guicciardini. From windows overlooking the river Arno one can enjoy a delightful view of Florence and the famous Ponte Vecchio. Centro Fiorenza is officially recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education, is a founding member of ASILS (Association of Italian Language Schools), and is a member of the International House World Organization. All courses are taught by experienced university-trained professors with extensive experience in study-abroad teaching. One course will be taught by a Mason professor.
