Students will have a wonderful opportunity to participate in a challenging academic program combining intensive Arabic language study and in- country cultural experiences. Students will study Arabic in beautiful Amman, Jordan at the University of Jordan. The program will include language courses offered Sunday through Thursday for 4 hours a day, taught by local faculty.
Classes will cover both modern standard and colloquial Jordanian Arabic. The courses are supplemented by cultural and social activities and weekly guided tours in and around Jordan.
This language immersion program will allow students to gain a greater understanding of the Middle East with particular emphasis on the Jordanian perspective and experience. Participants will be encouraged to interact with people and immerse themselves in every fabric of the Jordanian society. Don't miss this opportunity to discover Jordan!
6 credits in ARAB 110 (but must have basic knowledge of script), 201, 202, 210, 250, 330 & 331
Students will stay in a hotel ten minutes from the University of Jordan.

The program is open to Mason students, non-Mason students, staff, faculty, alumni, and the general public. To obtain credit, students need at least a 2.25 GPA.
