DESCRIPTION

Study in Beijing, China throughout the 2008 Summer Olympic Games. This intensive Chinese language program offers participants the opportunity to study the Chinese language at Beijing Language & Culture University. Students will attend classes in the morning for four weeks, explore the historical sites in and around the town in the afternoon and weekends, enjoy an Inner-Mongolia Grassland Trip during the third weekend, plus participate in a weeklong tour to Xi’an and Shanghai area before returning to U.S.

ELIGIBILITY

The program is open to Mason students, non Mason-students, staff, faculty, alumni and the general public. To obtain credit for this program students need at least a 2.25 GPA.

Program Fee: Approx. $6,297 ($6,347 for non GMU students) (minimum 10 participants)

The Department of Modern and Classical Languages also offers study abroad scholarships.

Center for Global Education reserves the right to make any necessary changes including adjustments in cost in the event that unforeseen circumstances arise.

CGE reserves the right to raise its program fees in light of currency fluctuations or any other unforeseen circumstances.
