London: Contemporary British Theater

DESCRIPTION

This 3-credit course immerses students in the world of London theatre. During your stay you will see new London productions of eight plays including musicals, comedies and serious drama. Lectures on contemporary British playwrights and London stagecraft by local experts will accompany the plays, as will class discussions. This program includes excursions to Canterbury/Dover and Cambridge, as well as tours of the most popular sites in the city. Class lectures will be held at local cafes, keeping the atmosphere light and intriguing.

CREDITS

3 Mason credits in ENGL 202, 302H, 360, 449, 513, 302, 685, or THR 497.

ELIGIBILITY

The program is open to George Mason University and non-Mason students of all levels, staff, faculty, and alumni, as well as the general public. To obtain credit, you need at least a 2.25 GPA.

Participants who submit a completed application (Center for Global Education - Mason Abroad application and all required application materials) by September 14, 2007 will receive a $100 discount off the program fee.
