CGE Study Abroad Alumni Welcome Back

Day: Friday
Date: January 27, 2012
Time: 12 noon to 3 p.m.
Place: George's Cafe, third floor of the Johnson Center
Special for this event: WELCOME BACK! We want to hear about your recent studies abroad! Swing by anytime between 12 noon and 3 p.m. to tell us your stories and volunteer to serve at the upcoming Study Abroad Fair. New alumni from winter break 2012 programs and fall 2011 semester studies abroad are especially encouraged to attend. FREE food and light refreshments will be available. Please RSVP to kstoy@gmu.edu or by writing on the event wall by Wednesday, January 25 so we can be sure to have enough (FREE) food!


Business Fest

Special for this event: Got Talent? Prove it by networking with the top professionals in your field. Now is the time to secure the opportunity you have been waiting for. Over forty representatives will be present at this event. In addition to our sponsors, we will have Center for Global Education, GMU HR Dept, Deloitte, CGI, Kearney & Company, Volunteers of America, and National Geospatial Intelligence Agency just to name a few. Free Food, raffle prizes, workshops, employers, and other SOM organizations will be present. Must attend event of the school year! Everyone is talking about it. Come see why over 250 students attend Business Fest every year! Be sure to bring your resume. Professional attire is recommended.

Presidential Reception for International Students

Special for this event: Celebrate international education with President Alan Merten on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 3:30 p.m., in Dewberry Hall. With Dr. Merten's retirement effective June 30, 2012, the February 13 international celebration will be his last as president of Mason. Arrival is encouraged by 3:15 p.m. for check-in and to pick up your nametag. Dr. and Mrs. Merten will greet each student as they enter Dewberry Hall. Refreshments will be served, and you will have the opportunity to visit informally with President and Mrs. Merten and other administrators. The event will conclude with a group picture (participation is voluntary). RSVP is required.
