This program is open to all undergraduate students with a cumulative GPA of 2.25, including students who do not attend George Mason University.
Credits
Undergraduate: Students can earn a total of 6 credits in PSYC 379, 405 and 461.
Meets General Education requirements for synthesis and global understanding!

Spend 4 weeks in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea this summer soaking up the sun and culture of Cyprus! Students will stay one week in the capital of Nicosia and three weeks in the port city of Limassol.
The Archbishop's Palace in Nicosia.
Classes offered are PSYC 405: Mystery, Madness, and Murder and PSYC 379: Applied Cross-Cultural Psychology which are open to psychology and non-psychology majors. PSYC 405 satisfies General Education requirement for synthesis and PSYC 379 satisfies General Education requirement for global understanding. If students have already taken one or both offered classes they can receive 3 or 6 credits in PSYC 461: Special Topics.

Visit Pafos, the birthplace of the Greek goddess Aphrodite.

Vias C. Nicolaides earned his M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at George Mason University. Currently, he is a doctoral candidate in the same program. Vias comes from the beautiful island of Cyprus which lies in the Mediterranean sea. His areas of interest span leadership, teams, emotion, creativity, research methodology, and statistical programming. His work is featured in academic and mainstream media outlets. Furthermore, he has also conducted cross cultural research on helping behaviors in the Middle East and Southeastern Europe. At George Mason University, Vias has taught various courses, such as Groups and Teams in Organizations, Personality Psychology, and a Seminar on Persuasion, Cults, and Terrorism. Finally, and in addition to his academic background, Vias has worked and consulted with government agencies and business organizations in the USA, UK, Cyprus, and the Middle East on a variety of HR issues.

You should plan to leave the United States one day prior to the first day of the program. You can schedule your return to the United States from the Cyprus for the last day of the program or choose to travel independently.
Do not purchase international airfare until you are advised by your Program Officer.
