Study abroad this summer at King's College in London, which offers over 50 courses spanning the arts, humanities, literature, law, management, politics, and social sciences.
During your stay in London, make sure you take a ride on the London Eye, a giant observation wheel and prominent London landmark. This slow-moving, giant ferris wheel is situated on the banks of the River Thames giving you enough time to take in the beautiful views of the city. You will be able to see many famous places from the glass capsules, including Buckingham Palace, St. Paul's Cathedral, and the Houses of Parliament. Make sure to buy your London Eye tickets in advance, and plan to go at night when the lines are less crowded and the views are even more spectacular!
While in London, check out the London 2013 Festival, which will feature exciting cultural events, concerts, exhibitions, and educational activities throughout the summer.
Last summer, King's College hosted over 300 students from 42 different countries around the world in their Summer School program, offering an international experience right in the center of London! The focus of the program remains on providing an intensive academic experience, which students can expect from an institution such as King's College. All Summer School courses are taught at the most central campus on the Strand.
All 55 courses are grouped under subject headings, e.g. Arts & Culture, Law & Government. Each subject grouping will display which courses are running and in which session. Each course links to a brief course description. Following the course titles is a suggested subject equivalency for Mason transfer credit in parentheses. Upon acceptance participants will be informed as to how to seek individual approval for their course choice(s).
