Europe or Asia? You decide when you spend 6 weeks this summer in Istanbul, Turkey. Located on two continents, Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey, rich in history and culture. Over the centuries, Istanbul has been known as Byzantium and Constantinople, the capital of the Roman, Byzantine, Latin and Ottoman Empires.
The Grand Bazaar in Istanbul
This program is aimed to provide new students of the Turkish language with the basic grammatical structures of the language and certain structures necessary for fluent communication. Students can earn 9 credits in beginning Turkish, a critical needs language for the U.S. government!

Dates: June 15 - July 24, 2013
You should plan to leave the United States at least one day prior to the program start date to arrive in Istanbul for the first day of the program. You can schedule your return to the United States from Istanbul for the last day of the program or choose to travel independently.
Do not purchase international airfare until you are advised by your Program Officer.
