Eligibility
This program is open to all undergraduate and graduate students with a cumulative GPA of 2.25, including students who do not attend George Mason University and members of the general public who are 18 years of age or older.

This Winter Break, make the world your stage by studying abroad for two weeks in London!

The Globe Theatre
Led by Rick Davis, Professor of Theater at George Mason University, this study abroad program has been one of CGE's most popular for nine years running! Besides being open to non-Mason students, this program is open to members of the general public who are 18 years of age or older.
Participants will see 8 shows, ranging from fringe productions to West End productions. Last year, the plays will include:

Outside of the Theatre Royal
A distinguishing component of this program are the worshops that students will attend. These are interactive workshops that are conducted by the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Globe Theatre.

Academic Director
Rick Davis is the Executive Director of the Hylton Performing Arts Center and Professor of Theater. He teaches courses in directing, dramatic literature, and theater history. Rick has directed widely in the professional theater and opera worlds at such venues as Center Stage, the Kennedy Center, Unseam'd Shakespeare, Delaware Theatre Company, Players Theatre Columbus; American Ibsen Theater, Opera Idaho, Lake George Opera, the IN Series, and many others, as well as directing dozens of productions in college and university theaters.

You should plan to leave the United States at least one day prior to the program start date to arrive in London for the first day of the program. You can schedule your return to the United States from London for the last day of the program or choose to travel independently.
Do not purchase airfare until you are advised by your Program Officer.

Scholarships
Scholarships are available to George Mason students. George Mason students can click here to download the CGE Global Perspectives scholarship application. Mason students may also use financial aid to cover a program's cost. If you are not a George Mason university student check with your study abroad office or office of financial aid to learn more about how to cover the cost of your study abroad.
