CREDITS: Up to 15 credits per semester transfer back to Mason, provided the letter grade is a "C" or above. Transfer credits do not factor into the GPA of the participant.

Take advantage of this unique opportunity to study at the National University of Ireland, Galway, which was named the "World's Friendliest Country" by the travel publisher Lonely Planet in 2008.
Located on the west coast of Ireland, Galway (pop. 72,000) is the third largest city in the Republic of Ireland. Galway is also one of Europe's fastest growing urban centers. With a history dating back to the 12th century, the city is often referred to has as the "Cultural Capital of Ireland." Galway is also home to the renowned Druid Theatre Company and in close proximity to the Connemara "Gaeltacht," the country's largest Irish speaking community.
NUI Galway's campus is situated on the River Corrib, close to the center of the city of Galway. It has a student body of over 15,000 students,

Students are given two weeks before being required to specify their choice of courses, followed by a week where students would be allowed to drop/add. This gives students the opportunity to make an informed course choice, by attending classes and advisory sessions before actual course registration is finalized.
Please note that this semester program requires a 3.0 GPA.

- A copy of their birth certificate
- The names of two academic references (other than those who provide your reference letters) to whom enquiries as to your academic standing may be addressed
