Study Abroad

Sarah Mournighan

Sarah Mournighan is a program officer at the Center for Global Education.   Sarah is a native of the Washington DC area, growing up in nearby McLean, VA.    Having been an international student twice herself, Sarah is very excited about helping students receive the same life changing experiences that come with living and studying overseas.

She received her undergraduate degree from Bucknell University in Pennsylvania, where she studied International Relations and French.  While at Bucknell, she spent a semester at the Université François Rabelais in Tours, France, studying French politics and international economics (all in French!).   She also interned in the Office of International Education at Bucknell, helping students prepare for their study abroad experiences.

Sarah’s second time as an international student came as she attended the University of Bristol, in Bristol, England, where she received her Master of Science in International Relations.  She is also a former DC area intern, having held internships at the US International Trade Commission and in the Office of Policy and International Affairs at the US Department of Energy.
