Student Affairs & Enrollment Management processes all applications to undergraduate majors, and is responsible for graduate program admissions.

Unit Procedure

School of Nursing

Undergraduate Students: Freshmen and all undergraduate students applying to nursing as transfer students must also submit an undergraduate application for admission to George Mason University. Upon completion of required nursing prerequisites, undergraduate students are eligible to apply to junior standing through one of the following BSN pathways.  Please visit the School of Nursing website for more information on the undergraduate programs.  Students who hold an active RN license do not need to submit a separate application to the School of Nursing. To enroll in the RN-BSN accelerated pathway, please contact Rose Brenkus at 703-993-1901.

For all other BSN programs, the application deadline is March 1, annually, for fall semester admission to the major.

Graduate Students: Please visit the School of Nursing website for application deadlines and more information on the various graduate nursing programs.  You can contact the program coordinator in your program of interest for additional information.  Graduate students can submit the application for graduate studies online.

Department of Global and Community Health

Department of Health Administration and Policy

Undergraduate Students: Freshmen and Transfer students need only submit an undergraduate application for admission to George Mason University and declare their major.

Department of Social Work

Undergraduate Students: Freshmen and Transfer students must submit an undergraduate application for admission to George Mason University and declare their major as Social Work.

A formal application process is required in order to be admitted to the Social Work Program and be considered for senior field placement. Sophomores are to apply between January 1 and March 20; Juniors are to apply between September 1 and November 1.  Please see the Social Work website for more details about admission to the Social Work major.

Graduate Students: Please visit the Social Work website for more information on the MSW program.  Graduate students can submit the application for graduate studies online or can download the application.  MSW departmental forms are required for completion of the graduate application.
