GIVE NOW!

Senior donors will be invited to our annual Senior Class Giving Party April 30, 2010 in Dewberry Hall starting at 6pm! We’ll say thank you with free food, drinks, and dancing!

Have you seen the Senior Donor Wall?

Check it out: JC 2nd floor!  Make sure your name is there before you graduate!

What is the Patriot Pig?

It’s about saving today and giving back tomorrow and the fact that spare change does add up to make a difference. Last year the average individual alumni gift was $50-–just $4 a month per donor-–but all together alumni gave more than $1,000,000! Enough to help students like you! Yes, even though tuition has increased, it’s not as high as it would be if alumni and friends weren’t helping the university out.

What does the Patriot Pig do for YOU?

Besides being a great keepsake, the Patriot Pig makes it easy and painless to give a little something back--in a feel-good, philanthropic way-–to your soon-to-be alma mater. It kicks off your experience as a Mason alum, a bond that you will have forever. So even though students have a hard time saving, this is an opportunity to be part of something that YOU are a part of, something that is bigger than all of us, the great university that is George Mason!

So, don’t sweat like a pig about it...give some spare change to Mason!

Does the Patriot Pig have anything that he wants you to know?

Yes, the pig wants you to know some facts:

Tuition: George Mason University, like all universities, is nonprofit. Mason does NOT make money off of its students. All money received by the university goes right back to helping you get your education.

Where Your Donation Goes: Unlike some other nonprofits where a portion of your donation goes to “administrative” costs, 100% of your gift goes directly to the allocation of your choice.

Get involved: Believe it or not, student philanthropy is thriving at Mason. Last academic year, 148 seniors made a gift to Mason. Want to know who they are? Their names are listed on a donor wall in the Johnson Center on the second floor. Join your peers in literally leaving your mark on campus through participating in your class gift campaign!
