Migrating
to MEMO from Mason/OSF1
In order to make a smooth transition to the MEMO system from Mason/OSF1 there are a few things you must do ahead of time to prepare your Mason/OSF1 account for the migration. Instructions to help you prepare for the migration are available at this site. If you have questions or problems, you may contact the ITU Support Center for assistance. Your Technical Coordinator will work with you us to get your account created and confirm that you are able to access the new account. Once you are notified that your MEMO account has been established you should begin to use your MEMO account at that time to familiarize yourself with the new mail system. Also once that account is created it will be able to receive email so you will need to check it to ensure that you do not miss any mail. At that time you should also begin moving over any address books that you want to keep from the PINE system into the MEMO system, making sure folders that you want to migrate are under the superfolder Mail, and unsubscribing from listserves. Your Mason/OSF1 account will not be deleted, however that account will cease to accept new email. All new email will be re-routed to the MEMO system. You may continue to use your Mason/OSF1 account for non-email related programs. i.e spss, personal web space, c++, etc..
