Construction/Moves

• I would like to move my servers into the Data Center.
• We have a project that requires digging around the outside of our building.
• We're moving our server, lab, credit card system, etc. to a new location
• Our department is moving and we have static IP's (reserved) for connecting with special systems.

Firewalls

• I have a program that we have installed on our server but:
  • No one can reach it from outside of GMU and
    • the server has NOT been registered with ITU
    • the server has been registered with ITU
  • It can be reached from inside our building but no one can reach it from outside our building.
  • I need ports open on the firewall for my server

Point of Sale

• We want to start accepting credit cards in our department using a single computer.
• We want multiple computers in our area to be able to accept credit cards.
• We want to install a Point of Sale device (non-computer) in our office.

Research Networks

• We want a research network for our department that we control the IP space for. No sensitive data will be kept on these computers.

Servers

• I have a server that I would like to be available only to people on a GMU campus.
• I have a server that I want to be available to the world.
• I need to change the name I gave to my server.
• I have a server with a non-GMU IP address that I want to assign a gmu.edu name.
• I want my server to answer to multiple domain names.
• I just installed a second NIC card in my server for faster response, but I need to assign an IP address and domain name to the interface.
• I need to change the MAC address of a system that was already registered as a server or reserved static.

Special Services

• I'd like to have special services (Credit Card, Lab systems, etc) in a specific location.
• We need a gig connection for our server
• I have a system that needs a static IP to connect to a remote server
• I would like to have access to a Telecom Closet

VPN

• I need to connect to my desktop computer when I am at home.
• I need to allow a consultant to connect to a device on the GMU network.
• We want to install our own VPN system.

Wireless

For all wireless issues, please cotnact Support Center and have a ticket opened and assigned to Network.
