Key Control

Under the auspices of the University Police Department, the Key Control Services Office has the responsibility of issuing keys to University offices. Those individuals who have been authorized to have keys to specific offices can report to the Key Control Services office with their GMU ID to obtain keys.

A properly signed and authorized key request should be sent in beforehand from your department. Exterior keys for access to buildings on campus will only be issued upon recommendation of the respective Dean of Vice President and approval of the Chief of Police. Please read the Administrative Policy #48 for details and regulations regarding building entry and access.
