Welcome to George Mason University! The key to success as a university student is to know where you are going and how you plan to get there.  MyMAP is an on-line resource that will help lead you toward the pathway of success.  In an effort to assist with your university experiences, this planner offers suggestions to enhance your educational experience, to help make your journey a little easier. Whether you are a new freshman or transfer student, MyMAP is designed to help you at the various levels of your academic career.  We hope this site offers insightful tips that will help you to become fully engaged in your education.  Just remember, the key to academic success lies within your hands. MyMAP will help you in the following areas:

• Identify strategies to assist with your academic, personal, and career development to help you to succeed at Mason.
• Offer suggestions for activities you should consider based on your credit level.
• Highlight campus resources designed to help you.

Where to begin?

When first using MyMap, select the credit level that represents your current total of earned credits.  These credits should include any transfer hours (including Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, Dual Enrollment or credit earned from another institution).  To help determine your classification, look at the list below:

Freshman:     0-29 credits
Sophomore:  30-59 credits
Junior:         60-89 credits
Senior:         90+ credits

Once you have selected your appropriate classification, follow the suggestions and complete the recommended activities.  As you earn additional credits, move to the next appropriate classification, as there are suggestions and activities specific to each level.  Following these suggestions will assist you with your academic planning.
