The English Language Institute offers two courses for non-native English-speaking:

  • working professionals, or those wishing to enter the job market or change careers

  • graduate and undergraduate students

  • embassy personnel


English Communication and Public Speaking for Professional and Academic Success (ELI-061-002)

Do you struggle with making presentations at work or school? Are you unsure how to effectively participate in meetings, discussions or negotiations? Would you like to express yourself in English more assertively?

Enroll in this course and reach your personal and professional goals through effective use of English. Step-by-step strategies applied to real-life situations will help you improve your command of English.

Advanced Writing for Academic and Professional Success (ELI-062 -001)

Do you find it difficult to communicate in writing? Do you struggle when writing essays, articles, or technical reports? Would you like to express yourself in writing more effectively?

Enroll in this course and develop or refine your writing skills. Be more successful with a stronger command of English!

  • Organize your thoughts logically, clearly and concisely

  • Write for a variety of professional audiences

  • Learn to effectively support your ideas

  • Develop American-style editing skills

  • Identify and correct errors in grammar and sentence structure

  • Improve your vocabulary

  • Earn 2.0 CEUs (Continuing Education Units)
