Graduate fellowships are awards that provide support to master’s and doctoral students for research, advanced study, writing, fieldwork, language or technical training, professional development, or independent projects undertaken in conjunction with a degree program.
The Office of Graduate Fellowships works to increase awareness, participation, and success in extramural fellowship competitions among Mason’s graduate students by collecting and disseminating information about fellowship opportunities, with an emphasis on nationally competitive awards. Fellowship advising and one-on-one coaching for George Mason graduate students in the application process are available through this office on a year-round basis.
