How can I support Mason?
You can support Mason through your generosity as a donor or corporate partner, your work as a volunteer or an advocate, or by simply cheering for Mason at athletic events.
What are the different ways to give?
There are many ways to give, including gifts of stock, real estate, and tangible personal property, as well as planned, or deferred, gifts. Your gift can be designated for immediate or current use, or as a long-term investment through an endowment.
Is my gift tax deductible?
Yes. All gifts to the George Mason University Foundation are tax deductible as provided by law. The Mason Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation organized and operated exclusively for the benefit of the university.
Why is annual giving important?
Annual giving ensures a broad base of regular yearly support for the ongoing needs of the university.
What else can I do to make a difference?
Alumni and friends serve on school or academic unit volunteer advisory boards, attend campus outreach events, or advocate on behalf of the university in the community and among state legislators.
How can I get involved and stay connected?
If you are an alumnus, the first step is to add your name to the Alumni Directory so you can receive the latest news, events, and happenings through the Mason Spirit magazine and the MasonWire e-newsletter. There are also a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the year.
Are all Mason graduates members of the Alumni Association?
Yes. The Alumni Association was established to engage alumni in the life of the university. As a member, you are entitled to many products and services.
