Luncheon of Appreciation

More than 120 guests honored benefactors of scholarship and library endowments, members of the Legacy Society, and the George Mason Society at the Luncheon of Appreciation. With the Campaign for Mason Students drawing to a close on June 30, committee co-chairs Jimmy Hazel, JD '84, and university Provost Peter Stearns announced that the initiative had raised nearly $12 million. President Alan Merten and his wife, Sally, joined fellow Patriot fans at Mattie's House of Mirrors in Denver to rally the Mason Nation before the NCAA men's basketball tournament game. Later that evening, Mason took on Notre Dame at the Pepsi Center. MORE PHOTOS>

This luncheon of appreciation honored benefactors of scholarship and library endowments, as well as members of the Legacy Society and the George Mason Society. Jimmy Hazel, JD '84, co-chair of the Campaign for Mason Students, served as master of ceremonies for a luncheon of appreciation for donors of endowed scholarships and members of the Legacy Society.
