City/University Parade

A parade celebrating the Mason Patriots will be held Friday, April 7. Start time for the parade is 11:15 a.m. at the Safeway parking lot on Old Lee Hwy. The ending place is planned to be on Mason Pond Drive at noon. Ceremonies and celebration will follow in the Johnson Center Atrium at noon. The parade will be followed by a rally and a number of presentations to the team in the Johnson Center Atrium.

Parking restrictions have been lifted on surface lots for Friday, so local residents can attend the parade and the Johnson Center celebration. Mason Pond Drive will also be blocked off to parking on parade day (until 1:00 p.m.). Participants may see the parade, and parade vehicles can park there while attending the ceremonies in the Johnson Center.
