Tyler Cowen
Professor of Economics, General Director
Tyler
Cowen is the Holbert L. Harris University professor of economics at George
Mason University and is General Director of both the James Buchanan Center
and the Mercatus Center. He edited the volume Public Goods and Market
Failures, and wrote Explorations in the New Monetary Economics
with Randall Kroszner, In
Praise of Commercial Culture, on the economics of music and the
arts, and What Price Fame?, on the economics of multiculturalism.
He recently published Creative Destruction: How Globalization is Changing
the World's Cultures. Dr. Cowen received his Ph.D in economics from
Harvard University.
