James Buchanan Center
Graduate Research Assistantships

Working with the Mercatus Center, the James Buchanan Center financially supports graduate students in several degree programs at George Mason University. Center students share a keen interest in learning to apply economics to critical problems facing society.

Center Students

More than 100 Center students have earned graduate degrees, and 75 of these received Ph.Ds. Center graduates are employed in academia, business, policy institutes and government.

"Anyone who wants to study how markets really work, not just study abstract theories, should consider going to graduate school at George Mason University."
