Records Management |
|
OverviewGeorge Mason University Records Management assists university departments with the retention and disposition of their temporary university records. An effective records management program minimizes the space, equipment and personnel required to store and service records; insures the preservation of permanent records in the University Archives; and provides for the orderly and timely disposition of non-current, non-permanent materials in full compliance with all Commonwealth disposition requirements. Records Management oversees the operation of the University Records Center, where approximately 5000 cubic feet of inactive university records are stored. Records Management also oversees the legal and timely disposal of all boxes stored at the Records Center. Please feel free to contact the University Records Manager if you have any questions about Records Management, or if you need boxes to transfer your records to the Records Center. Students: Obtain copies of your transcript directly from the Office of the Registrar. ITU | University Libraries | Special Collections & Archives | Records Management Fenwick Library, Room C204.
