Health Administration and Policy, Department of
The Department of Health Administration and Policy offers graduate and undergraduate programs that prepare individuals with state of the art technical and humanistic skills to serve as leaders, managers, consultants, and health policy advisors in a variety of settings.
Graduates work as technical experts and managers of health service and assisted living organizations, health information systems, and as health policy analysts, in public and private health/social service systems; legislative arenas and public health agencies; health services research, management and policy-related trade and consumer organizations; and health sector accreditation/regulatory organizations..
Health and Human Services, College of
The College of Health and Human Services prepares graduates to function as professionals in multidisciplinary environments and on interdisciplinary teams. Graduates of our programs provide leadership, care, and services to individuals, families, and communities and work as researchers, technical experts, managers and consultants in a variety of health, social service and health information technology organizations and public health policy entities.
Health Policy Research & Ethics, Center for
For over 15 years, the Center's mission has been to study domestic and international health policy, articulate public policy issues and foster policy solutions to health care challenges. The Center engages a wide range of health policy experts and stakeholders to examine the complex forces affecting health care delivery. Activities range from traditional scholarship and research to innovative educational programming, health policy analysis, health care ethics, and groundbreaking projects and initiatives.
Helen A. Kellar Institute for Human disAbilities
The Kellar Institute for Human DisAbilities (KIHD) is an interdisciplinary campus based organization that focuses on the mission statement,"improving the lives and productivity of persons with disabilities." KIHd combines the resources of George Mason University (GMU) with local, state, regional, national, public, and private sector agencies and organizations to develop products, services, and programs for persons with disabilities.

Health Education Services creatively delivers health-related information to the George Mason University community through awareness education and skill building activities. Health Education Services encourages people to maintain healthy behavior and/or to modify current unhealthy behavior. We also strive to prepare our participants to serve as public health messengers.

Hemlock Overlook
Herndon Training Center at CIT
Ideally suited for business meetings and training, the Herndon Training Center at CIT consists of small to medium sized rooms, which hold anywhere from 6-35 people. Our tiered classroom contains state of the art equipment, which allow laptop presentations, as well as videotaped presentations, and the recording of training sessions. Additional site benefits include: complimentary covered parking and a full service cafeteria on the lower level.
Higher Education Program
The Higher Education Program offers four graduate degrees and one certificate. Over 100 graduates are now contributing to the academic, administrative, and pedagogical activities in community colleges, four-year colleges, and universities around the globe.
Hillel Jewish Student Association
The Hillel Jewish Student Association's webpage contains information about Jewish events on the George Mason campus, including weekly Shabbat gatherings, as well as lists of synagogues in the Northern Virginia area and links to Jewish groups and Jewish web resources.
Hispanic Culture Review
The Hispanic Culture Review publishes stories, poems, and essays pertaining to Hispanic culture. Their website contains information for contributors and publishes issues of the journal in online form.
History and New Media, Center for
A collaboration between GMU, the American Social History Project, and the Center for Media and Learning at the City University of New York, this center brings historical information together with new media technology.
