Design It Yourself
If you are a student
You can create a web page to meet requirements of courses or to post
a résumé. Training is available from several sources.
As you create your web page, be sure to follow the guidelines and policies
on Copyright,
Accessibility, and the Responsible
Use of Computing. Check out the style guidelines and other resources
that can help you create useful web pages. Be cautious as to what personal
data you publish on your web page because, once your page is available,
many people, literally anywhere in the world, can access your information.
If you are a faculty or staff member
You can create web pages to communicate to your students, publish your
syllabus, office hours, current assignments, or other information that
would assist students. You can establish research sites, share information
with other faculty or universities. Refer to the Design Tips to what is required to publish a web page using Mason resources.
For interactive content development, use WebCT, Blackboard Learning System,
or Townhall.
If you represent a George Mason organization or affiliate
You can create web pages to recruit members, promote activities, or
share your organization's mission. You can publish pages using university
supported web servers. There are guidelines on eligibility, style, and
the software used in the web page creation. Your webpage can be listed
in Mason A-Z on the university's main page.
