Vendor Information
Vendors listed have agreed to extend government contract pricing to George Mason University. These vendors have competitively bid contracts with local governments and are familiar with working with governmental departments. To get an idea as to the capabilities of each company, check out their home page and the sample pages they developed for other clients.
A Statement of Work must be completed to give vendors a description of your web project. To guide you through the creation of a Statement of Work (SOW) to be sent to vendors, please complete the Web Development Application RequestTemplate to provide details on the concept for your web pages.
The Information Technology (IT) Project Office will forward the completed template to vendors. Interested vendors will respond to your web project ideas with a proposal. The Web Team and the IT Project Office will help you in assessing the proposals you will receive. Specific university and state purchasing guidelines will be followed, based on the proposed project costs. For more information on university purchasing, see Fiscal Services.
As you work with a vendor, you will still need to coordinate with George Mason University departments and resources. As you will see in the template form, these important questions will need to be resolved:
- Where will the web page be hosted? Who maintains the host server?
- Will the web page need information from an existing university database?
- Who will maintain the web site to keep it current?
- Will the vendor follow the Mason web site style guidelines?
- Are there sufficient funds available for the creation and maintenance of the web pages?
The Information Technology Project Office (IT) is available to assist in your dealings with vendors. Please contact the IT Project Office if you have comments regarding any of the vendors listed here after working with them.
