president Sas vetoes resolution 4 |

Student
Government President Eric Sas has decided to veto Resolution
4, which supports the Virginia Student Leaders Associations
efforts to seek a student vote on the Board of Visitors. The
resolution passed by a vote of 13-11-3 at the Dec. 4 student
senate meeting.
In the Dec. 6 issue of Broadside, Sas said he planned to sign
the resolution. However, once he was able to study it in detail,
he changed his mind.
"The
resolution was not in the appropriate form and was in an unacceptable
state to accurately represent the views of the student government,"
he said.
The resolution will be reintroduced today during the student
government meeting held at 4:30 p.m. in SUB II.
