George Mason welcomed new directors of development to the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), the University Libraries and Information Technology, and the College of Nursing and Health Science (CNHS) last year.

She has also taught fund- raising courses at George Washington University and the Smithsonian Institution.

Linehan’s expertise lies in the category of major donations. As part of the senior management team, Linehan will oversee all fund-raising activities for the college.

Also joining George Mason is Adriana Ercolano, the new director of development for University Libraries and Information Technology. Ercolano had been at Marymount University, where she was director of corporate and foundation relations. In that position, she was responsible for all aspects of the program, including grant renewals, prospect research, and development of new grant proposals. She also worked as the senior administrative assistant to the vice president for university advancement at Marymount, where she aided in events planning and management of the university’s capital campaign.

Ercolano holds a bachelor’s degree in government and German from the College of William and Mary, and a master’s degree in international affairs from the Catholic University of America.

Joanne Hansinger-Mitchell joined CNHS in August as its first development officer. Her responsibilities include fund raising, marketing initiatives, and developing publications for the college. She will also be responsible for raising funds to renovate the clinical practice lab and technology/media center; endowing a chair and postdoctoral fellowships; creating student scholarships; and developing new partnerships for CNHS.

Before coming to George Mason, Hansinger-Mitchell was director of fund raising at the American Heart Association. She previously held positions as director of marketing and sales for High Tech Health Inc., a privately owned health management consulting firm, and as regional marketing coordinator in the marketing and business development division of Alexandria Hospital.
