GMU-TV is First Source for Weather Related Announcements

The weather looks ominous—do you grab your mittens and head for campus or stay home? Now George Mason faculty, staff, and students can find the answer by first tuning into GMU-TV for the latest news on campus closings or delayed openings.

GMU-TV’s ability to serve as a major information source will help prevent the university’s switchboard from being overloaded when the weather takes a nasty turn this winter. GMU-TV can be seen on channel 18 in Fairfax County and Reston, channels 79 and 95 in Alexandria, channels 33 and 37 in Arlington, channel 59 in Prince William County, and channel 25 in Loudoun County.

Announcements also will be broadcast on local television and radio stations, although the university can not ensure the accuracy of those reports. If you learn of an inaccurate report, please contact Media Relations at x38780.
