New Memorial Honors George Mason
A new memorial on the National Mall honoring George Mason was unveiled and dedicated
in April. The memorial, located on Ohio Drive near the 14th Street Bridge and
the Tidal Basin, is a combination of gardens, pathways, a fountain, carved stone
walls, and a sculpture of Mason created by artist Wendy M. Ross. Ross also created
the statue of Mason on the Fairfax Campus.
The Mason Gazette is a faculty and staff publication put together
by the University Publications Gazette staff.
