On Friday, Oct. 4, Shepard will be at George Mason to discuss how hate crimes affect and harm everyone. Her talk, to be held at noon in Harris Theatre, ushers in Turn Off the Violence Week and is sponsored by the Women's Studies Research and Resource Center. Reception for Faculty Authors Celebrates Millionth VolumeA reception honoring all George Mason faculty book authors kicks off the University Libraries' celebration of shelving the millionth volume. The Provost's Office; international honor society Phi Beta Delta, Epsilon Delta chapter; and the Libraries ask all faculty authors to convene during Fall for the Book at the Barnes and Noble tent on the Johnson Center North Plaza from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3.
