Employees Honored for Outstanding and Exemplary Performance
By Hope J Smith The Employee Incentive Awards honor employees for consistent hard work of the highest quality. The Outstanding Performance Award recognizes the highest level of job performance for a period of at least 12 months. Employees receiving this award are given a permanent base pay increase of 2.25 percent. The Exemplary Performance Award recognizes an exceptionally high level of job performance for a period of at least six months. Employees receiving this award are given a one-time cash payment equivalent to 2.25 percent of his/her base salary or $1,000, whichever is the lesser amount. Another way to recognize coworkers is with the Individual Impact Award, which can be processed at any time. The award recognizes short-term accomplishments, such as work on a training class or the completion of a difficult report. The Individual Impact Award recipient receives a cash payment ranging from $25 to $250. There is no minimum qualification period and no restriction on the number of Individual Impact Awards a person can receive. Nominations are due in May for the Outstanding Performance Award and the Exemplary Performance Award, both of which will be presented in July.
