Mason Mail Connects with Public Schools

About 30 replies were received from various departments regarding interest in using the Fairfax County Pony mail system.

The result of that informal survey indicates a demand for the Pony to pick up mail from the George Mason mailroom every week. Pickup is scheduled for every Tuesday, with delivery on Wednesday to the appropriate Fairfax school.

Mail should be addressed in a plain envelope (not a George Mason interoffice mail envelope) using TO and FROM where the address would normally go. For example, To Robinson High School, John Doe, on the first two lines and From George Mason University, Sukey O'Donnell, MS 3A4, on the next lines. In the space usually used for a return address on the front of the envelope, write Pony Express, MS 5G4 and circle it to deliver the envelope from your campus location to Mail Services.

People sending mail from a Fairfax County school should address it To George Mason University, Sukey O'Donnell, MS 3A4. Please be sure to let your correspondents know to use your mail stop number.

If you have any questions, contact Sukey O'Donnell by e-mail at sodonnel@gmu.edu, by phone at x32394, or by fax at x32392.
