Making Room for the Fast Track M.B.A.

George Mason's School of Manage-ment (SOM) is renovating the SUB II space formerly occupied by a food court in order to make room for its Fast Track M.B.A. program, a part-time program emphasizing the use of information technology, oral and written communication, and teamwork.

According to SOM dean Teresa Domzal, the new space will feature a computer lab and three executive-style classrooms, which are configured in a "U" shape with ports at each seat for laptop computers and Internet access. In addition, all audiovisual equipment is built into the classrooms.

The SOM also plans to use the new state-of-the-art facility for its Technology Management program, which meets on Saturdays. The renovation is expected to be completed in January.
