Given Delivers on Brain Research The Center for Honoring Individual Learning Diversity (CHILD) and the Graduate School of Education (GSE) sponsor a lecture titled "What Brain Research Says about Teaching and Learning" on Jan. 12. In the lecture, Barbara K. Given, GSE, discusses relationships between brain research and educational practices from the perspective of five major learning systems, and teacher and parent roles that foster healthy brain development in the classroom and at home. The lecture, which is one in a series scheduled for the spring semester, is held from 7:15 to 9:15 p.m. in the Johnson Center. It is free, but space is limited and registration is required.
