Taylor Takes on New Role

Moves to Arlington

Stanley Taylor, associate vice president for operational services, takes on a new assignment as associate vice president for the distributed university, effective Jan. 1.

In his new role, Taylor will be located at the Arlington Campus and provide operational oversight and develop administrative policy for the distributed campuses. He will also become the university's primary liaison with Alexandria and the District of Columbia. He will continue his current duties managing university-wide space and real properties.

According to Senior Vice President Maurice Scherrens, "This organizational change begins the building of a structure that will better meet the emerging needs of our surrounding regions, and will take advantage of the unique strengths of our staff. Institutionally, we are committed to the development of an adaptive, agile administrative infrastructure that is seamlessly integrated with the organizational structure of the Fairfax Campus."

Executive Vice President Randall Edwards says, "Stanley is uniquely qualified to increase our outreach efforts to Alexandria and the District, as well as Arlington, as he has been involved with these communities for many years."

Taylor will report to the senior vice president for central administrative issues, and to the executive vice president for distributed campus issues.
