CAS Makes Convocation Change
This year, instead of holding three separate convocations organized by department, the College of Arts and Sciences plans to make a switch. In May, it will hold two convocations: one for undergraduate degree recipients and one for graduate recipients.
CFA Tickets Available Online, through ProTix
The Center for the Arts (CFA) has launched two new systems aimed to increase customer service: telephone ticket sales through ProTix, and online sales through the CFA website. ProTix provides the service of charging tickets to
all CFA ticketed events by phone, seven days a week from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.

Tickets are also available at local ProTix outlets, including Waxie Maxies, Olsson's Books & Records, Office Outfitters at Reston Town Center, and The Barns at Wolf Trap.
To buy tickets online, visit the CFA website at www.gmu.edu/cfa. The CFA Box Office, located in the Concert Hall on the Fairfax Campus, continues to serve walk-up traffic and answer queries regarding subscriptions and group sales.
GSE Cosponsors Positive Yoga '99
Nortel Networks and the Graduate School of Education present Positive Yoga '99, a yoga event in which the Maryland, Northern Virginia, and Washington, D.C., communities come together to raise money for breast cancer education and to celebrate good health. The event takes place Saturday, March 6, from 12:30 to 6 p.m. in the Johnson Center. Classes on all levels of yoga, meditation, and guided imagery will be offered. Symposium Brings Education Author to Campus
Dr. Thomas J. Sergiovanni, author of Building Community in Schools, addresses "Recruiting and Preparing New Teachers: Partnerships that Work," during an Education Symposium. The symposium takes place Thursday and Friday, March 25 and 26, and is jointly sponsored by the Graduate School of Education, Fairfax County Public Schools, Prince William County Public Schools, Fairfax Education Association, Prince William Education Association, Virginia Education Association, and the National Education Association. The conference takes place in the Johnson Center, and has a registration fee of $40.
