The Eta Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi consists of a largely diverse group of girls.  With such a great gathering of women, this brings a diversity of activities, interests and involvement everywhere!  Alpha Phi’s can be found all over campus, from peer helping, the 2004 Student Body President, Student Government,

Mason Ambassadors, to all over the globe!  If there is an activity happening at GMU, you better believe there will be one of our sisters taking part in it.

Our chapter takes pride in saying we have won every award given to the Greek Community.  Last year, one of our graduating sisters, Carissa Cantafio, won the Greek Woman of the Year award.  To add to this accomplishment last year we won both the All-Sports Award and Greek Week.  By winning Greek Week, Alpha Phi has added to our dynasty of our thirteen wins out of the fifteen past Greek Weeks there have ever been at George Mason University (1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2005).  Other previous awards include Highest GPA, Best New Member GPA, Philanthropy Award, and Most Improved GPA.

Other than our physical accomplishments and awards, our chapter thrives on our sisterhood.  Our sisterhood soars above any other chapter in the world.  We love participating in events, supporting other Greek Organizations, helping the George Mason community and simply having memorable time with our sisters.  If you are looking for a close group of girls, you will not have to look any further than the Eta Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi.

Of course there are other things that our chapter does very well.  Like mentioned before, we won the All Sports award.  This showcases our athleticism as well as team work in the intramural sports of Softball, Football, Volleyball, Basketball and Soccer.  We love to participate in intramural sports!  On the other end of the spectrum, Alpha Phi strives to do well academically.  We have won several of the academic awards within the past few years, including best overall GPA, most improved GPA and best new member class GPA.

Alpha Phi is a big advocate of increasing the presence of Greek Life at George Mason University.  We encourage you to include yourself within the wonderful GMU Greek Life and experience everything that has helped shape each one of our sisters differently.  If you are looking for an outlet for your creativity, athleticism, scholarship or originality – try Greek Life, we did!

We invite you to check out Alpha Phi, either on campus or during recruitment to find out how wonderful our chapter is.  Whichever path you choose, look around – we’re sure there will be an Alpha Phi there!
