With its
large
presence
in the
Cardiac
Health
world
and even
the
White
House,
the
Alpha
Phi
Foundation
is
working
to aid
researchers
to one
day find
a cure
for
heard
disease.
George
Mason
University’s
Alpha
Phi
chapter
is no
different.
Every
semester,
the
sisters
of Alpha
Phi hold
a
philanthropic
event.
These
events
range
from
Hoops
for
Hearts,
a
three-on-three
basketball
event,
PHI’ESTA
BOWL,
a
dodge-ball
tournament
to
King of
Hearts,
an
all-male
talent
showcase.
Alpha
Phi
raises
thousands
of
dollars
at each
of these
events
and 100%
of their
proceeds
go
directly
to the
efforts
of the
Alpha
Phi
Foundation.
The Eta
Lambda
chapter
of Alpha
Phi has
won the
Philanthropy
award in
the GMU
Greek
Community
several
times.
They
also
have the
honor of
being
the only
women’s
fraternity
on
campus
to have
on of
their
active
sisters
be
invited
to
become
the
collegiate
representative
for all
collegiate
Alpha
Phi’s
for
their
Foundation.
